G.B. 1d/6d/8d UNDERPAID FRANKINGS WITH HAMILTON "2/3" (UNIQUE?), RARE "29" OR "25" CHARGE-MARKS, ETC.; Jan. 1861 env. ex London to Milton CW with GB 4d Rose-carmine pair(fault at right) tied by duplex with m/s "over ½oz" & both "INSUFFICIENTLY/STAMPED" & "INSUFFICIENTLY/PREPAID" alongside; also having a very fine large rare Hamilton(?) handstruck "29" postage due mark. Nov. 1863 env. (flap lost) with single 1d Red ex London to Guelph with GB 1d Red 'Stars' tied by duplex with "DEFICIENT-POSTAGE[5]/[½]FINE___[3/8]" alongside; also having very fine unique(?) usage of Hamilton h.s. "2" & "3" marks placed adjacent for a "23[c]" postage due mark. Sept. 1867 env. from Fleetwood to Guelph with 6d Lilac (pl.5) tied by duplex but with v. fine London "INSUFFICIENTLY/PREPAID" and m/s "9d" alongside, replaced by a v. fine h.s. "1/-" used on the Allan Line S.S. 'Persia'; then having a v. fine h.s. "25" postage due mark as well. Rare and attractive trio.
