A wonderful antique original Agnes Jeffrey (19th century) watercolour and pencil on paper painting dating to 1843, featuring a portrait of Katherine Caroline Isabelle Stewart aged 3 years and 6 months. An incredibly characterful portrait of the young girl, sitting politely in an upright pose with her little legs crossed and her hands gently clasped on her lap. Wonderfully rendered in fine detail and delicate strokes. Signed and dated bottom left with further inscription to verso. Housed in a smart gilt frame with window to verso to view inscription.
