Liberty and Co. Cymric silver and enamel shield brooch, of typical Art Nouveau style with reserves of blue green enamel between raised silver forms, centred by a split water opal cabochon, hallmark for L&Co. Birmingham 1902.
It is possible that the centre stone is a replacement, as these designs tend to be centred with mother of pearl, but it is difficult to tell for sure. Light wear and scratches throughout, the enamel work is in good order.
