A smokebox numberplate, 55209, from a Caledonian Railway 439 Class 0-4-4T No 154 built at St Rollox in 1911, becoming LMS Class 2P No 15209 and BR 55209. It spent all its BR days at Perth from where it was withdrawn in June 1961 and scrapped at BR Carriage & Wagon Works at Heatheryknowe, Glasgow. The front background repainted, a weld repair by the left bolt hole. (Postage Band: D)
