Kent under Captain Robert Fairfax, 4pp. foolscap, signed by Prince George, date 7th May 1703. ii) another volunteer commission for Edward Bennett, aboard H.M.S. Restauration, under Capt. Robt. Fairfax, signed by Pembroke, Rooke and Mitchel, 4 pp. foolscap, dated 19th January 1701/2; iii) warrant deputising Capt. Fairfax to initiate Court Martials against a) Capt. Archibald Hamilton for the loss of H.M.'s fireship "The Lightning". b) the ship's carpenter, H.M.S. Romney, for embezzlement. c) against Master Gregory Shipton for the loss of the "Lyddell Pink" a tender on H.M.S.
