λ An 18th century Ivory Biblical fan with plain ivory sticks and carved guards. The leaf is hand painted with a biblical scene and the leaf mounted à l'anglaise fashion, the verso plain. The guardsticks are carved with a falconer and another figure in period dress. Mother of pearl thumb piece at the base. Circa 1730. Length 28cm.
