A 19th century Chinese export Canton black lacquer and gilt brise fan, Qing dynasty, with rounded top and tapering sticks and guards, lacquered in gold on one side with pagodas, buildings and figures, verso similar, but with boats, the tips with gilt birds, butterflies and insects, 19.5cm long, width open 34cm
