A RARE MID 17TH CENTURY VERGE BRACKET CLOCK the case, possibly later, having an architectural pediment with raised panels enclosing an 8" brass matted dial with slim silvered Roman chapter ring surrounding an engraved Tudor rose fronting a substantial eight day double fusee movement with seven square double baluster pillars fixed by steel domed 'hot cross bun' screws, verge escapement and outside countwheel striking the hours on a bell, the back plate and front plate signed "Edwardus East, Londini" (45cm high)
