1948-49 POST WWII F.P.O.s IN JAPAN: Jan. 1948 env. from Australian Army P.O./214 of Tokyo to London bearing 1/d (3) & 5/- pair tied by good "ARMY P.O. 214/AUST- cds paying the 8 x 1/3d per ½oz (3d overpaid). 14 April 1949 env. registered from Tokyo to Aden bearing 1/- (2) and 5/- tied by lightly struck "AUST ARMY P.O./214" cds, possibly paying the 7 x 1/- per ½oz rate with no registration fee. A similar cover of 27 April 1949 with 3d (7) and 2/6d green paying 4 x 1/- rate plus 3d registration. 2 June 1949 piece bearing 5/- block of twenty (f4 x 5) lightly cancelled with the "AUST UNIT POST/452" of Kobe cds. 23 June 1949 env. from Kobe to London bearing 1½d (2), 3d (4) & 5/- with the same cds as the previous envelope.
