A William IV gilt polychrome painted turned fruitwood tipstaff of St Austell, Cornwall, dated 1836. Of truncheon form, the cylindrical head decorated with William IV’s coat of arms and the Cornish Coat of Arms with fifteen bezants inscribed ’St Austell Cornwall 1836’. 31.8 cm length. Condition report: Some age related wear as illustrated.
