'Royal Institution of Cornwall'. Reports 1855-1963 Published by James R. Netherton of Lemon Street, Truro. 8vol. Many plates, and tables at the rear of each report. Attractive contemporary half brown calf, marbled boards, neatly rebacked, with the contemporary binders ticket of Philip Giles, St Austell, with the bookplate of Jonathan Rashleigh of Menabilly. Founded in 1818 as the Cornwall Philosophical Institution, reports were issued annually until 1863, after which date the reports were known as ‘journals'. These early annual reports are now quite hard to find.
