2nd Essex Artillery Volunteers Victorian Officer’s Dress Pouch.
A scarce late 19th Century example, the flap faced with dark blue cloth edged with silver artillery pattern lace and bearing Royal Arms, flanked by oak leaf and laurel sprays in silver embroidery. “SECOND” padded crimson velvet scroll over silvered metal gun with revolving wheel resting on padded crimson velvet tri-part scroll “ESSEX ARTILLERY VOLUNTEERS”. White metal suspension loops, complete with collapsable pocket. Overall GC, lace good.
The HQ of the 2nd Essex Artillery Volunteers was at Greys until 1880.
