AN EARLY 19TH CENTURY NEEDLEWORK PASTORAL SCENE, depicting two shepherds and their dogs resting in a field with sheep beyond, a variety of stitch techniques are employed along with painted silk areas, approximate size 44cm x 35cm, together with a needlework sampler by Eleanor Atkinson aged 9 and dated 1823, the design takes the form of an alphabet and numbers, approximate size 24cm x 29cm and a Berlin wool work style picture depicting an exotic bird in a tree with a repeat pattern border, Condition Report: the needlework picture has losses to the painted silk areas, the sampler is faded with losses to the stitches, all frames are marked
