A GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF BUDDHA

Ming dynasty, figured seated in dhyanasana, the right hand extended in varadamudra holding a single myrobalan fruit, the left hand in dhyanamudra, with a serene face and draped in a fine robe, on a double lotus stand, cast with swags of ribbon and a bird seated on a branch, 41cm high overall

Provenance: Property of a Dorset gentleman. Acquired by the family in the late 19th/early 20th century and thence by decent.
