A late Victorian Bowie knife by Mappin Brothers, single edged spear point blade 8½” with false back edge, the ricasso marked “MAPPIN BROTHERS, SHEFFIELD” and sun mark, with staghorn grip, flat German silver pommel cap, stout oval crossguard, and added pewter band, in its leather sheath with pale brass chape and locket and incomplete belt loop. GC, the blade good (some wear to sheath mounts). £300-400
