A good 5 shot 80 bore second model Tranter double trigger percussion revolver, 9" overall, barrel 4½" engraved "C. Golden, Cheapside, Bradford", London proved, the frame engraved with scrolls and "No 5737T", the rammer and trigger stamped "W. Tranters Patent", with finely chequered walnut grips. Good Working Order and clean condition, retaining 80% of original finish; in its original green baize lined mahogany case with circular brass escutcheon and retailers trade label, containing brass bullet mould also numbered 5737, Dixon flask (original lacquer), loading rod, nipple key, turnscrew, pewter oil bottle, tin of "Tranter's Patent Lubricating Bullets", tin of "Tranter's Patent Lubricating Composition", a tin for Eley caps and three spare nipples. A very nice complete set. £2500-3000
