An Arts & Crafts period oak collector’s specimen chest, rectangular top above a slide and six long drawers, brass carry handles to sides, skirted base, bracket feet, 80.5cm high, 56.5cm wide, 32cm deep, c.1900
General light wear commensurate with an antique item of furniture that has been used but well looked after.
The leather writing surface to the draw-out top has some stains and scratches.
There is a little cracking of the timber to the sides, see photos.
The beading to the top has some small chips to the mitre edge.
One of the drawer liners has a split across the centre.
Overall in good general condition both aesthetically and structurally. No sign of woodworm.
