French Model 1866 Sabre bayonet for the Gras and Chasspot Rifles. Yataghan blade approx 23". Top flat engraved 'Mfd d'Armes de St Etienne 1874' (rubbed). In its steel scabbard, brass ribbed hilt (slot modified possibly for a German Rifle). Worn overall, matching serial numbers "FG:68031".
