An early Victorian rocking chair with exposed mahogany frame, with acanthus leaf top rail over pierced scroll capitals, S/D and later repairs.
The top crest is missing from the top rail. There is an old break to the rear of the top left hand corner of the frame. There is a repair to an old break to the bottom of the left hand side of the frame. There are screw repairs to the front left hand foot. Some losses of veneer to the apron. There is a split to the front right hand foot. The chair has been re-upholstered in pink dralon - fabric is in good condition.
