Early 19th Century Turkish Shamshir


30 1/2 inch, single edged, slightly curved blade with back edge sharpened point.  One wide and two narrow fullers.  White metal, downswept crossguard with scroll edged, double langets.  Polished wooden slab grips with bulbous top.  Contained in its leather covered wooden scabbard with white metal mounts.  All with embossed decoration.  The throat with overlaid star and crescent.
