Fairman published a brochure in 1880 that listed 140 paintings and their owners. Of these 36 were of the Holy Land. He must have used a standard size canvas as the majority seem to be the same size. A painting sold at Sotheby's New York on 22nd May 2018 (lot 55) as well as the many other views of Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives are all 80 x 114 cms.
