A 19th century Chinese sword, with shagreen and bronze mounted scabbard, the mounts slightly loose, with a fullered steel blade, overall length 82cm, sword length 80cm.

Condition: The sword with hilt bent to the left, grip probably original, bronze of the hilt an even dark brown green tone which looks to have wear from use, blade crudely fullered and oxidised, scabbard starting to split where it is joined along the base with wear and lifting to the tip, two old glue stains to one side where possibly there may have been additional mounts.
