(rear flap torn and ink smudges on front) to New Jersey franked 5c brown with four large and even margins and tied by a grid cancel at lower right with matched "NEW-YORK" ds on front, Holcombe (Lucerne) Cert. (1995); and a July 1849 env. to NY franked 5c brown, good to large margins except at top tied by indistinct bar cancel and ms endorsement 'Bill of Lading Notices' with "PHILADA RAIL ROAD" hs on front and enclosing a fancy printed receipt for Gay, Kinsleyn & Co Express.
