Charles I (1625-1649) silver Shilling, Tower under the king, group F, triangle mintmark (S 2799, North 2231). Obverse: sixth large Briot-style bust, type 4.4 with stellate lace collar, 'XII' behind, triangle mintmark, 'CAROLVS · D. G MAG.' BRI FRA. ET · HI.' REX' around. Reverse: shield of royal arms quartered by a cross moline, triangle mintamrk and '· CHRISTO · AVSPICE · REGNO ·' around. Weight: 6.02g. Diameter: 31mm. Grade: aF - irregular flan with a minor indent to the Scottish lion portion of the shield, around Fine or better.
