WW2 Royal Ulster Rifles French Croix De Guerre Confirmed Gallantry Group of Medals. Awarded to 7012385 Lance Corporal James Ince who saw pre war service in Palestine and was awarded the French Croix De Guerre with star for gallantry as a stretcher bearer Decemeber 1944.
Comprising:
General Service Medal, clasp Palestine 7012385 RFMN J. INCE R.U. RIFLES, 1939/45 Star, France & Germany Star, Defence Medal, War Medal, MID Oakleaf, French Croix De Guerre with Star. Group mounted as originally worn. 7012385 Lance Corporal James Ince service in Palestine is confirmed at that time serving with the 2nd Bn. He was Mentioned in Despatches for North West Europe (LG 10th May 1945) French Croix De Guerre with Star, the citation states as a Stretcher Bearer between the 13th and 14th December he was serving with B Coy of the 2nd Bn and under a very heavy constant bombardment in the open was responsible for tending and evacuating some 30 casualties. A copy of the citation accompanies the lot.
