A VERY GOOD QUALITIY ADJUSTABLE FRENCH CAST BRASS ADJUSTABLE FIRE FENDER, late 19th century, on each end are tall urn shaped andirons with scrolling foliage detail & topped with a pineapple finial each with a loop to the back to hold fire irons and resting on a cast iron leg, the andirons slide along the centre pierced fender to adjust the length. The fender with a central oval panel with foliage detail. In excellent condition, well looked after. Dimensions: 91cm at its narrowest. 48cm tall at the ends. 142cm at widest.
