Two fine Chinese famille rose fencai dishes, 19th century, the Jiaqing period oval dish finely painted with a court scene within a border of bluebirds amid foliage within gilt scrolling reserves, 25.5cm across and the mid 19th century plate painted with figures from Chinese legend and with inscribed poems, within a five claw dragon border, unmarked, 24cm diameter

The oval dish has work to the gilding on the rim, typical minor glaze imperfections otherwise in good condition. The plate has minor wear to the gilding on the rim, occasional minor scratching to the glaze, typical minor glazed imperfections otherwise in good condition. No restoration detected.
