The Following Nineteen Lots Were Once The Property of John Harris (1917-89), Scottish Born. He played for Swansea Town before making 326 appearances for Chelsea, regularly appearing in their first ever title win in the 1954-55 season. He later played and managed Chester before a successful managerial career at Sheffield United. His final involvement in football was a scout at Sheffield Wednesday, before becoming a Lay Preacher.
Chelsea 1955 F.A Charity Shield Medal Plaque Awarded to John Harris, in sterling silver, having black bakelite backboard inscribed 'Chelsea F.C v. Newcastle United F.C Wednesday 14th September 1955' with easel support by F. Phillips, Aldershot 13.5cm wide, Chelsea won 3-0.
