An early 19th-century satinwood, mulberry and inlaid secretaire bookcase; banded and bordered with boxwood and ebony lines, the upper part with a shaped three-quarter ledge gallery centred by a lozenge panel, fitted with an adjustable shelf enclosed by a pair of gothic pointed glazed panel doors, the lower part with a hinged fall enclosing a fitted interior with small drawers, arched pigeon holes and baize inset writing panel, with a recessed apron drawer below, on square tapered legs united by concave fronted undertier; 167cm high, 79cm wide, 48cm deep
