A small bone late 19th century/early 20th century gilded bone fan mounted with the known printed silk leaf of Rinaldo and Armida, after Watteau, guard approx. 19.5cm, presented in a lemon and floral woven silk covered box, mounted à l’anglaise, the verso plain; together with a second bone fan, the monture lightly gilded with the addition of pastel flowers, the central cartouche with a depiction of a young courting couple, the two side vignettes filled with musical instruments, guard approx. 22cm (2 plus box)
The first fan and box are in very good order, the second fan leaf is slightly foxed and the leaf needs to be reattached to the lower guard, the leaf next to the upper guard also requiring such attention.
