A PAIR OF CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN DISHES, 18TH CENTURY. Each with rounded body and everted rims decorated with a scene from Xi Xiang Ji, 'The Romance of the Western Chamber'. Each with mark to base reading Yu Zhen 'Jade treasure'. 21.7cm diam. (2)

Provenance: Property of a Sussex gentleman

Condition: One dish crack through the middle, probably restuck, with filled chip to rim. The other dish 4cm hairline at rim with a small chip.
