Spitfire pilot's WW2 1939-1945, France and Germany Stars, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Maple Leaf clasp and BWM (silver) attributed to Flying Officer Andrew George McNiece R.C.A.F. extremely fine and better, with 4 individual boxes of issue.
With original log book, 2 scrap books/folders with excellent range of photos including being presented his wings, aircraft, personnel, German aircraft and tanks etc, telegrams, postcards, cuttings, copied research etc, also book 411 Sqn History, RCAF certificate awarding Operational Wings dated 14/3/46, RCAF certificate of active service, RCAF 1943 pocket diary, 411 Sqn metal plaque etc.
He enlisted 2/9/42, commenced pilot training 4/5/43, posted to No 61 OTU Rednal, UK Aug 1944, flew first solo on Spitfire 18/8/44, joined 411 Sqn at Volkel, Holland 4/11/44, first Op dive bombing railway line 8/11/44, flew 97 sorties, often 2 a day, with Ops detailed as bombing, armed recce, wing sweep, dive bombing, fighter sweep, bomber escort, front line patrols, bridgehead patrols etc. (See photo) (B)
