(only 4 recorded); slightly charred p. stat. env. ex India to UK re-sealed with tape on 2 sides carried on BOAC Lodestar which crashed in Cairo with partial purple cachet "SALVAGED MAIL/FROM/[?]" cachet, also env. & Ambulance cover ex Ceylon with similar cachet; charred env. ex India or Middle East franked India 3a with purple "DAMAGED BY FIRE/IN TRANSIT" listed in Nierinck as applied to mail from a Short Sunderland 111 which crashed in Northern Ireland.
