AN EXQUISITE PAIR OF IRISH GEORGE II CAST SILVER CANDLESTICKS, Made in Dublin c.1750, Maker likely James Warren. These expertly crafted Irish silver candlesticks feature the ‘six shell’ design, visible particularly on the rim of removable insets, the knop to the centre of the support and the base. The upper portion of the supports are encircled with slanted striped engraved bands, with ‘six shell’ knop to centre above waisted column with second circular knop to lower portion, with further slanted striped engraved band; all supported by decorative cast six shell design base. Weight: 1296g. Height: 26.2cm
