A CHINESE ROUGE DE FER PORCELAIN TEAPOT, COVER AND STAND, EARLY 18TH CENTURY. The teapot of pear shape with applied decoration of prunus and flowering branches, detailed in iron red and gilding. The lobed dish and cover similarly decorated. Qing dynasty, probably Yongzheng / Early Qianlong period. Dish 15.5cm diam. (3)
Condition: Good overall condition with no cracks or chips and no signs of repairs. Some slight losses to applied decoration to note: Two flower petals with loss on dish. The cover with few losses to applied decoration to top. The teapot with one leaf petal loss. Probably a firing crack fault to underside rim of cover.
