1889 REPUBLIQUE SEPTENTRIONALE (NORTHERN REPUBLIC): 1889 stampless cover from Cap Haitien to St. Thomas, DWI. Stamped with provisional negative "HAITI /POSTERS/CAP HAITIEN" handstamp to indicate postage paid. Alongside is a Cap Haitien cds dated incorrectly 11 Jun. 1881, probably due to the absence of the correct date slug. A rare item.
