Fine French Empire ormolu figural two train musical mantel clock with F. Lecoultre musical movement stamped 1023, the movement with outside countwheel striking with two hammers on a bell, the 3" chapter ring enclosing an engine turned centre, within a drumhead casing supported upon a fluted pillar surmounted by a draped robe and implements emblematic of war, the figure of a standing soldier in battle pose beneath the clock, over a stepped stand with egg and dart frieze and upon a rounded mahogany base containing the musical movement, with a brass plate to the side fitted with three selection levers inscribed Change, Play and Stop, under a glass dome, 23.5" high overall (pendulum and two keys)
This clock generally appears in good condition and the music box functions correctly with no missing teeth or dents on the cylinder, there is some wear to the roman numeral numbers and slight loss of gilding in places on the case, there is a slight crack adjacent to the winding aperture in the base, the LeCoultre movement is stamped No. 1023, the comb plate is stamped F.LeCoultre, the length of the musical cylinder is 6", there are no tune titles written anywhere, see images for guidance, personal viewing always advised where possible
