Star Lot: An original Roy Lyndsay (b.1945) oil on board painting titled "The Dancers." Features an energetic composition of lively figures rendered in short brushstrokes with a nice luminous palette. Signed bottom left and presented in a high quality gilt frame. Lyndsay has a very strong auction history with works fetching into the early thousands.

Born in Co. Tyrone 1945, Roy Lyndsay studied and taught at the NCAD Dublin, before moving to Collinstown Co. Westmeath in 1989. He has exhibited with the RHA, Kenny's Art Gallery, Galway, and the Lincoln Gallery, Dublin. Roy's early days were spent pursuing his main interests of sport and art. Very early drawings included friends playing the violin, the tin whistle or storytelling at social gatherings where everyone present was expected to participate in some form. Roy's talent was to sketch the many great characters that would congregate at such events.
