Great War Webley MkVI Service Revolver .455 Calibre. Profusely ordnance marked, frame "Webley Patents 1917", component parts marked with WD arrow. Pistol breaks open and cylinder receives dummy .455 rounds. Frame and barrel section marked with sold out of service marks. These denote that the revolver was sold to an officer (the sale of revolvers by stores, gunsmiths etc, was banned from 1916 under The Defence of the Realm Act). Top section marked "Mark VI" with WD arrow, inspection marks and issue marks for 1917. Plastic chequered grips in VGC, with WD arrow marks, lanyard ring, cylinder revolves crisply when trigger is pulled. With Current Certificate of Deactivation
