A W N Pugin, a Gothic Revival carved oak panel from the Palace of Westminster, circa 1850, probably Holland and Son, modelled in relief with knotted oak branches with acorns, around ropetwist and reeded ogee arcading, 52cm x 27.5cm Note: part of the interior design and decoration for the New Houses of Parliament, many of the panels were removed during the Second World War after the palace was bombed. Other similar examples appear in the John Scott and Peter Rose collections as well as the Metropolitan Museum in New York
