Howard Phipps (B. 1954) - 1985 'Timbered Interior' coloured wood engraving, limited edition no. 4 out of 65. Artwork featured in the 1985 Royal Academy exhibition in Salisbury. Signed in pencil by the artist under the engraving. Framed, mounted and glazed, measuring approx. 22.5cm x 24cm.
Howard Phipps was born in Colwyn Bay, North Wales in 1954 and studied Painting and Printmaking at the Gloucestershire College of Art in Cheltenham 1971-75. He was elected as an RWA academician in 1979 and a member of the Society of Wood Engravers in 1985. Howard's work has been obtained for many public and private collections which include The British Museum, Ashmolean Museum, Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Salisbury Museum, Russell Cotes Museum, and more. He has also had numerous one man exhibitions including three at The Dorset County Museum, the Victoria Art Gallery in Bath, Cassian de Vere Cole Fine Art in London, and St Barbe Museum in Lymington.
