A Liberty & Co (?) model 083 hammered pewter and hard enamel table box, the hinged cover set with a rectangular slightly domed landscape panel decorated with an architectural view of a gateway, possibly painted by Fleetwood Charles Varley (British, 1863–1924), the mahogany lined body with simple spreading skirt foot, bearing the stamped 083 mark to base and bearing a Payne of Oxford paper label to the interior. 16 cm x 13 cm x 6 cm deep.
