A French porcelain encrier or inkstand probably Sèvres, late 18th century, with underglaze blue interlaced Ls and letters 'K' and 'Y' to either side, of serpentine oval boat shape with two flared circular baskets with oval trellis sides and gilded scalloped rims, the dish painted with scattered floral sprays, the rim with dentil gilding and blue line and gilt dash decoration, 27cm. long.
