A GEORGE III SILVER DOUBLE ENDED SNUFF BOX, of plain rectangular curved form, later ribbed at ends for striking matches, gilt interior, maker Joseph Willmore, Birmingham 1807, approximate weight 1.7ozt, 53 grams, width 6.5cm x depth 3.9cm x height 1.2cm maximum, together with a George III silver vinaigrette of flattened octagonal form, pin prick and wriggle work decoration, gilt interior, plain grille with holes punched in lozenge formation, retains sponge, marks rubbed, Birmingham 1818, approximate weight 0.1ozt, 5.7 grams, width 2.3cm x depth 1.7cm x height 0.6cm (2) (condition: snuff box has later ribbing, some dents to corners, surface scratches, hinges move with stiffness, slight gaps when covers are closed, vinaigrette has wear to initials on cover which has left impression on the inside, marks are worn to lid and tarnished to the base, lid not closing flush, hinge works)
