A rare and important pair of carved wooden doors Circa 1600 English depicting the four continents Europe Africa Asia & America during the early discovery of them. Square form with the Continents depicted as Angels wearing symbolic items in relief held within period fittings / frames. Likely taken from a large piece of Ecclesiastical furniture around the time of the reformation and hidden. Measures approx; 54cm x 64cm x 12cm.
