Star lot : A fabulous original Alain Sauriac (French, contemporary) oil on canvas painting featuring a vibrant composition with female figure to centre carrying a vessel on her head, splitting the composition down the middle between a bright yellow sky to the left, with a rich red sky to the right. Rendered in thick impasto brushstrokes with bold outlines and sweeping gestural strokes. Signed bottom left and dated to 2001. From a large private collection.
