A Mark V. Marshal for Doulton Lambeth, an Art Union of London Thistle Head jug, circa 1900, the cylindrical body decorated with relief moulded thistles, signed M.V.M 688 to the base, 26.5cm high. [Mark Marshall was quite possibly the most original and creative designer in the history of Doultons. He worked at Doultons from 1878 to 1912, and from the beginning of his career there, his imagination was unrestrained]
