A late 19c French mantel clock in ornate gilt spelter case, the 9cm white enamel dial surrounded by cast gilt flowers and foliage and standing on an oval gadrooned base with an oval decorated medallion to the centre front. The case is surmounted by two birds at their nest and the dial has blue Roman numerals and black outer minute numerals and fancy gilt hands. The movement is countwheel striking on a bell. The clock stands 36cm tall overall.
The case is missing a central rear foot which makes it unstable but otherwise is complete but slightly tarnished. The dial and glass are undamaged and the movement complete and would probably run.
