A late Gustavian "Swedish Empire" carved wood and gilt gesso console table, early 19th century, with an inset rectangular white marble top supported by a central winged caduceus and entwined cornucopia above a simple ebonized conforming base. 81 cm wide x 39 cm deep x 85 cm high.
Some shrinkage cracks to the carving The marble protrudes at the back by 3 cm The base has had some shims of wood attached to bring the height up. see the supplied images for clarification
