More Information

(CATALOGUE UPDATE - WEDNESDAY 10th APRIL - The metal cover at the base of the foot has now been carefully removed - an additional image online shows this).
The white metal lining is creased and has numerous dents. It has a loss to the rim together with a loss of lacquer. On the exterior of the bowl, there is rim damage, losses to the lacquer and cracks. As the bowl joins the stem this has been detached with resultant loss of lacquer around the base of the bowl and top of the stem. There are further losses to the lacquer around the foot rim and hair cracks also.
Overall condition is poor and requires skilled restoration.
